Jyotiraditya Scindia Joins BJP; Says Congress Disheartened Him


New Delhi: After spending 18 long years in Congress, Jyotiraditya Scindia joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in Delhi today. He was given primary membership of the party by BJP National President JP Nadda. Scindia said that there were two days in my life that changed my life. First 30 September 2001, the day I lost my father. The second date was 10 March 2020, which was his 75th anniversary. He said that I believe that our aim should be public service. My father and I always worked on it. Scindia attacked the Congress and said that Congress is no longer the former Congress.

Scindia said that the Madhya Pradesh government did not fulfill its promises on the issue of debt waiver and employment. Transfer and corruption mafia is going on in the state. He said that my mind is very distressed. Congress is no longer the party that was founded.

Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Scindia said that perhaps no one in the history of the country has got such a big mandate as Prime Minister Narendra Modi has got not once or twice.

Earlier, BJP President JP Nadda told reporters, “Today is a matter of great happiness for all of us and today I am remembering our senior leader, the late Rajmata Scindia. Both the Bharatiya Jana Sangh and the BJP have been a major contributor to the ideology since the inception of the party. He said, ‘Jyotiraditya is joining our family today, I welcome him and welcome him heartily.’
